The ticket for the timber on Providence was entered and paid for as landed at Ryeford. Will place before Committee on 19th and request fine of up to £2 per ton for false returns

Having upon several occasions that false returns have been entered your Tickets I now inform you that upon the Ticket of the Providence the timber was entered & paid for as landed at Ryeford. I shall place the same before the Com^tee of the SN on the 19^th Inst - the Penalty that can be enforced by Law for giving such false return is £2 per ton on the whole cargo.
