Summary

After late repairs, business on the Canal has been brisk but is now beginning to flag. Unless there is an alteration in the manufacture of cloth, now in a very depressed state, it will be severely felt, particularly in the coal trade. Discontinuance of Steam Engines through lack of employment at the Dyehouses.
