From John R Denyer
To C Jones
Siddington
Engine services not required before end of Whitsuntide stoppage. More time to look for a successor to Chivers. I intend to send Clyburn, if Mr Ferrabee and myelf do not come, to see that the Engine is in proper condition.
If the Faggots per S Smith for Wilkins were not charged 20 tons for being fetched purposely, we should be guilty of partiality.
The Engineers and Surveyors of the railway can use the Towing path for riding etc. between Stroud and Cirencester.
Mr George, I fear, will never leave his room alive.
