Petition being prepared for Bristol & Gloucestershire Railway Extension Line (alias Coalpit Heath). To unite with Cheltenham & Great Western Union between Stroud and Gloucester. Cost high but Stroud Canal has seen best days if carried into effect.
Proposed advertisement in Birmingham paper for successor to Chivers (details given).
Flood at Lechlade higher than all the winter.
