Summary

The work in Mr Gordon’s meadow will be finished to allowed distance.
The Engine beam continued to perform work satisfactorily and it will be equal to the task until the excavation is concluded.
Kempsford Wharf house repaired.
Lechlade Wharf. Richings & Parker have settled their account.
Mr Parker has converted his salt works into a Joint Stock Company, the “Imperial Salt & Alkali Company” with
6000 shares at £12.10 each, which will decrease his difficulties.
Stock of Forest Coal much augmented. Unprecedented increase in price. Excessive demand in Iron districts of Staffordshire and Shropshire. Increase in price would let in a coal from Leicestershire called Moira.
Cheltenham & Great Western railroad proprietors are about setting out the line and have publicly denied receiving aid from the Great Western.
