From John R Denyer
To John Lane
Goldsmiths Hall, London

Summary

Parties in neighbourhood for last week, ascertaining the Assents, Dissents and Neuters of the Owners of the lands through which the projected railroad is intended to pass, I expect with success. Several things are to be attended to. I refer you to the Standing Orders of the Lords and Commons. Weather here is intensely severe. I dissented on the part of the Company both as the Owners and on my own behalf as the Tenant to the railroad passing through their lands etc.
