Discussion of considerable variation of the tunnel dimensions especially the arches referring to the natural rock. Also some of the bridges might be even more difficult than the tunnel because the centre of the channel is not under the centre of the arch. Two drawings for bridges given based on a water level of 3 feet 6 inches and overall width of 19ft 4in (13ft 4in canal plus 6ft 0in towing path).
