From John R Denyer
To Parkend Coal Co
Lydney
Mr J Trotter’s letter of 20 Mar received re the new harbour opening – “power to ship coals for home consumption very large”. A vessel despatched as a result was not loaded as ordered – the captain refusing to take small coal rather than half large and half small. Several arrangements disorganszed re employment involving three men and a horse which have to be paid for – expenses to be deducted from your account.
Tonnage on 7 Jun for £54.0.10 still outstanding.
