From John R Denyer
To John Lane
Goldsmith Hall, London

Summary

Re your letter of 10th accommodation required by Mr Protheroe to his concern that ready money is expected for tonnage.
On Monday I discharged the Churn Millers claims for water.
Mr McIntosh of opinion if the brook course at Daneway could be arched over at a given expense would be worth the expense giving additional size to the ponds. But, at present there are no more materials provided than can be made use of in the necessary repairs. All further proceedings relating to the masonry suspended for now.
Would like to meet Committee members re expediency of plans of repairs of the summit but needing a stoppage of the canal.
